Friendsgiving

The Shalom Team would like to invite you to help us host a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday afternoon, November 17. Our guests will be our new friends from the African community, who now meet for worship and fellowship at CF every Sunday afternoon. We have 50-70 friends, mostly from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Many of them have been in the US for less than two years, so they are still acclimating to life in this country.
We have the opportunity to host a meal, share a bit of our American culture, and why giving thanks to God is an important part of our gospel culture.
We can’t do this alone. We need your help to prepare and provide a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Our hope is for the meal to come from your kitchen to the dinner table here at CF, where we have invited the African group to be our guests.
