All In For The Kingdom

Series: All In For The Kingdom

44“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Matthew 13:44

Kingdom
both the people and everything within a geographic area that is ruled by a monarch at a specific point in time.

Kingdom of God
the people who have placed themselves under the rule of God.

42And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44And all who believed were together and had all things in common.

45And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47praising God and having favor with all

the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 2:42-47

44And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
Acts 2:44-45

32Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. 33And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus,

and great grace was upon them all. 34There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35and laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.
Acts 4:32-35

14What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? James 2:14-16

17But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 18Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
1 John 3:17-18

A Resounding Caution about
Being All In

“The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.”

D.L. Moody

The world has seldom seen what God can do through a local church filled with people who are all in for the Kingdom. By God’s help, we—Community Fellowship Church in West Chicago—will aim to be that kind of church
