Mission Possible

Series: God Is

MISSION POSSIBLE
Isaiah 6:1-8

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim,
each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” 4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

ENCOUNTER JESUS

5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

EXPERIENCE TRANSFORMATION

8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

ENGAGE THE WORLD

Jeremiah 20:9 (NKJV)
…His word was in my heart like a burning fire…

Psalm 67:1-2 NLT
1 O God, in mercy bless us; let your face beam
with joy as you look down at us. 2 Send us around the world with the news of Your saving power
and Your eternal plan for all mankind.

Luke 5:4-11 NIV
4…(Jesus) said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10…Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.

Job 42:5-6 NIV
”My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes
have seen you. 6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”

Revelation 1:17 NIV
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said:
“Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.”

Mark 10:18 NIV
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered.
“No one is good—except God alone.

Hebrews 11:37 NIV
They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword.
They went about in sheepskins and goatskins,
destitute, persecuted and mistreated—

Acts 4:13 NLT
The members of the council were amazed
when they saw the boldness of Peter and John,
for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures.
They also recognized them as men who had
been with Jesus.
